DBA 3 Narrative Campaign The Pyrrhic War 280-275BC

There are a number of rules sets available for linear, narrative style campaigns, something that can be easily played in a couple of club nights.

Super Steve’s Map-Less Wars campaign system published at fanaticus-dba.fandom.com is a fantastic example of a simple campaign system that links several battles together in a way that is simple but more interesting than stand-alone battles.

I've taken Super Steve's ideas and expanded them into several campaigns, including this one, the Pyrrhic war.  They are in a simple, two-page format that can be downloaded, printed out and used to run several games, producing a historically plausible outcome.

  1. Hello Paul,
I read your Pyrrhus DBA campaign with enthusiasm and would like to make a project out of it for myself. Unfortunately, the handout for the Romans is missing from your download list.
Can you send it to me?
    Thank you and best regards

    • Hi Willi,
I have added the Romans and updated the download UI, you’ll find everything at the bottom of the page, just above the comments.

Have fun with the campaign and I’d love to see what you do with it, if you’d like to share any photos I’ll add them to the site (with full credit of course). If you do want to share any game photos please send them to kingtiger.co.uk@gmail.com

      -Paul
